When I decided to go to Romania and Bulgaria, I also decided that this was a good opportunity to add on some time in Rome.
The Romania and Bulgaria trip got canceled, though, and instead I did a trip to Greece, Albania, and North Macedonia. But I was still able to include eleven days in Rome at the beginning of my travels.
I did so much advance planning for this trip. I booked all kinds of tours and planned to visit other sites as efficiently as possible. I made a Google Map with 84 pinned locations. And I made an Excel spreadsheet where I listed each place I would visit in the morning, afternoon, and evening of each day.
It worked out well in the end even though I didn’t get to see everything on my list. Rome is a great city filled with amazing things to see, and I definitely had a wonderful experience trying to cram it all in.
